On the Spot is an inclusive, fun workshop aimed at exploring improv in all its hilarity, awkwardness, and tenderness. Using games and exercises we will explore how to listen, how to accept creative offers, and how to expand our willingness to lose ourselves in the moment. No experience is necessary and the class is open to ages 16 and up.
Ryan Heywood studied Improv and Acting in Chicago. He was a member of Whiskey Rebellion, a house team that performed regularly for 3 years at iO Theater. Besides his one man show “Confessions of a Tramp Stamp” which ran for 6 weeks at Annoyance Theater, he has also performed in numerous plays, appeared in national commercials, indie films and one episode of Chicago Fire.
