Whether you are an experienced artist looking for a new medium to express yourself or are someone new to the artistic realm, this workshop is for you. The objective of this workshop is to provide you with a solid foundation in the art of fused glass and to spark your creativity and imagination as you assemble your piece of art using glass pieces.
Shauna Arnold serves on the Horizons’ Lifestyle and Education Team Board of Directors as Secretary/Treasurer and is a Cascade Cultural Arts Center (CCAC) committee member. She has over 16 years of community development experience. Besides running her own massage therapy business, she is instrumental in community outreach in the West Central Mountain region and volunteer coordination, program facilitation, and administration for the CCAC. She organizes the various artist residencies in the community, working on artist contracts, project logistics, and coordinating with the schools and supporting entities. She has also written and self-published two children’s books and enjoys dabbling in poetry.
Rachel Huckaby is a ceramic artist with a multi-faceted background in the arts encompassing glass fusion, piece quilting, counted cross-stitch, vector graphic art, punch needle art, knitting, and crocheting. She has developed specialties in underglaze decal design, hand building, wheel throwing, and clay carving. She collaborates with people from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences to plan and execute multi-level programming, events, and activities. Rachel volunteers tirelessly in the community to help promote the arts, and enthusiastically strives to preserve the traditional, cultural art of ceramics.
