The first night of class you will learn basic clay hand building techniques tips and trick to construct your bird feeder. Second night of class you will learn a few things about glazing and then glaze your beautiful creation. This class is appropriate for beginners or intermediate ceramic artists.
Rachel Huckaby is a ceramic artist with a multi-faceted background in the arts encompassing glass fusion, piece quilting, counted cross-stitch, vector graphic art, punch needle art, knitting, and crocheting. She has developed specialties in underglaze decal design, hand building, wheel throwing, and clay carving. She has a proven ability to develop strong connections across cultures and provides team leadership in a creative and fun environment. She collaborates with people from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences to plan and execute multi-level programming, events, and activities. Rachel volunteers tirelessly in the community to help promote the arts, and enthusiastically strives to preserve the traditional, cultural art of ceramics.
