Join retired professor and award-winning author, Dr. David Adler, for this timely presentation on holding government accountable. Approaching the 2020 elections offers the perfect inspiration to revisit  the workings of our government and explore our role as citizens. This presentation will offer a historical overview of some underlying issues that have absorbed the energies of concerned citizens, focusing on constitutional issues and theories of representation conducive to governance. It will include civic participation in a non-partisan discussion that explores the US Constitution, the responsibilities of the media, and the role of the American citizenry in our representative democracy. A former journalist, David Adler earned a BA from Michigan State and PhD from the Univesity of Utah. Dr. Adler has lectured internationally on the Constitution, has authored over 100 scholarly articles on the Constitution and presidency, and has published four books. Dr. Adler taught at Idaho State University for 25 years and is currently the director of the Sun Valley Institute.
