Join Boise Grange’s own Anjel Griggs for this nourishing winter class and learn how to make the ultimate & original winter comfort food. Anjel will guide students through the production of steamed brown bread, baked in a kettle, from the oldest written bread recipe in existence, first mentioned in a 1357 German cookbook. As the bread steams and hearts are warmed, participants will learn about wheat, rye, corn, butter, and other historic ingredients. Finally, Anjel will guide participants through the making of fresh butter, which will then be enjoyed with warm brown bread. Participants will have bread and butter to take home, too.  $42  Registration Required
