Ukulele enthusiasts - here is your chance to bring the sweet mellow sound of the islands into the heart of an alpine winter. Developed in the 1880s, the ukulele is based on several small guitar-like instruments of Portuguese origin. This “jumping flea” was introduced to the Hawaiian Islands by Portuguese immigrants from Madeira and Cape Verde. This winter, McCall mountain-dwellers will have the opportunity to extend the reach of the ukulele’s magic into west-central Idaho. Join fellow enthusiasts at the Guild to learn the basics in this set of beginner learning sessions, facilitated by experienced musicians. Come away with the skills to play one or more of your favorite songs. Additional 4-week sessions offered in February and March as well. Register for one or all three.  $54  Registration Required
