Join Dr. L. Bryan Williams for this 4-session class exploring two primary and influential Chinese philosophies - Confucianism and Taoism. Never has there been a better time to broaden and deepen our understanding of world beliefs and philosophical perspectives. U.S. relations with China are frequently in the news, perhaps leading to curiosity about the traditions, beliefs, and philosophical foundations of this great eastern empire. Lectures will include a brief history of the founders, an introduction of key ideas, and how each philosophy is practiced in daily life.  Lectures will also include practical application of Chinese ideas to student issues and concerns. Start the new year with a scholastic investment by enjoying this introduction to the philosophies of China. Dr. Williams is a Social & BioEthicist and President of McCall College. He served as Associate Professor of Religion and Ethics and Chair of the Department of Religion and Christian Ministries at Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Williams earned his PhD in Religion and Social Ethics from the University of Southern California. His recent book, The Spiritual Healer: Healing Strategies from Shamanism, Buddhism & Spiritualism, is available on Amazon. $62  Registration Required
